About the creator
Hi, I’m Gabrielle—a French-Canadian writer, graphic designer, and artist with a deep love for food, fashion, and all things beautiful. I created Oranges and Peonies (named after my favorite fruit and flower!) as a space to share my passions and let my creative mind run free.
My journey began as an artist. I pursued both traditional and digital art degrees, dedicating years to honing my craft. Along the way, life led me down unexpected paths. I once owned a restaurant, where I discovered that food is more than nourishment—it’s a language of love, a way to give and connect.
But through it all, one thing remained constant: my love for writing. Storytelling has always called to me, and exploring the creations of others inspires me just as much as crafting my own. With a background as diverse as my passions, I’ve come to embrace the beauty of not settling on just one thing.
